Anne Spafford on High Performing Rain Gardens: A Beautiful Solution to Water Runoff

January 23, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Anne is a Professor in the Department of Horticultural Science at NC State University and co-author of the award-winning Rain Gardening in the South as well as Pollinator Gardening for the South. An advocate that creative landscape design should help mitigate environmental as well as social issues, Anne joins us with solutions to runoff issues in residential gardens that also create a beautiful, low-maintenance habitat for pollinators and human well-being. Currently teaching Sustainable Residential Landscape Design, Permaculture and Green Infrastructure courses to name a few, Anne is principal and owner of Raleigh-based landscape design company, Sprezzaterra.

Lectures are free for Club members. If we are not at capacity, guests are welcome. Guests pay $10 and RSVPs are required; the link will be on our home page prior to each month’s meeting.
