Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens – Coming this Fall – The Dry Piedmont Prairie Garden!

This garden will focus on over 130 different plant species that benefit pollinators and habitat restoration. There is also a Fall Music Fest coming October 13th and 14th featuring talented musicians with roots in bluegrass and beyond. The concerts take place in the Lost Hollow Hillside Theater during regular visiting hours.


Moonlight in the Garden = JC Raulston Arboretum at NC State University

RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA – For seven-nights in November, the magical lighting exhibition Moonlight in the Garden will illuminate and showcase JC Raulston Arboretum at North Carolina State University. Along with the colorful and festive lighting exhibition, Moonlight in the Garden is a chance to bundle up, welcome the fall season to North Carolina, dine at the best food trucks, enjoy the live music, have some hot cider, and roast marshmallows over the fire pits.

Exhibition dates include a special Preview Night on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 7 to 9 PM; plus, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights Nov. 8-10 and Nov. 15-17 from 6 to 9 PM.

The Dilworth Community Association would like to thank all the volunteers from the Charlotte Garden Club for their hard work on November 4, 2017. The Charlotte Garden Club provided manpower and numerous native plants to add to an area near Park Avenue and Park Rd. in Latta Park. Nancy wrote:The Charlotte Garden Club did amazing work Saturday, Nov. 4th, and obviously before, with our meetings, your acquiring plants, the compost drop off and more. On behalf of the Dilworth Community Association and our Latta Park volunteers, Ruth Ann and I thank you for your hard work, planning and expertise. We feel fortunate to have you as team members, and hope that volunteers from The Charlotte Garden Club will come back to join us again.
