All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted (with asterisks). Meetings are held in the Van Every Forum, Mint Museum of Art, 2730 Randolph Rd., Charlotte, NC 28207. Refreshments are served in the Atrium at 7 p.m., programs begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.

January 9, 2009	Larrie Sweet Royal Gardens (owner), Charlotte	Larrie Sweet will lead a rose pruning workshop on Tuesday January 9, 2009 at 1 pm. Bring your clippers, shears and gloves and meet at the Mint Museum of Art, Randolph Rd. They will direct you to the rose garden. Cost - free.
January 19, 2009	Larry Mellichamp	"Gardens in Winter" Want to brighten up your garden between Dec. 1st and Apr. 1st? Larry Mellichamp will show us how to add color, texture and interest to the sometimes bleak winter landscape. Larry is Professor of Botany and Director of the Botanical Gardens at UNCC. He is co-author of "The Winter Garden: Planning and Planting for the Southeast." Learn about plants that grow in Charlotte's climate, particularly those that thrive during our often unpredictable winters.
